The DD-WRT Wiki page for the WRT54G2 V1 claims there is only one way to flash back to the default Linksys firmware and it requires the use of a JTAG. Post back and let us know if it works. The standard clock speed of a WRT54G(S) v2-v6 is 200 MHz. DD-WRT allows overclocking the device to up to 300 MHz for v2-v3 and up to 250mhz for v4-v6. It is also possible to underclock, which may be useful for troubleshooting crashes which may be caused by overheating. The WRT54G v1 through v4 all work with Tomato or DD-WRT. v5 is a completely different animal with half the memory, but the WRT54GL is the same as WRT54G v1-4 and will work. This information is available in great detail on the Tomato and DD-WRT web sites.
Aug 29, 2012 · I use dd-wrt based repeaters all the time. have 5 in fact. but my procedure might be simpler. granted, each individual router has to have a a unique LAN starting IP(192.168.X.1) from all the others to prevent conflicts when i daisy chain them. of course each router cannot access individual devices on the other routers. my goal is just internet

Therefore, when flashing with the DD-WRT firmware, you need to make sure that only those firmware that have a size less than 2 mb are used. Using any other larger firmware will make your Linksys WRT54G2 v1. router a brick or a paperweight.
